The archaeological site of El Tajin was the most important center of cultural influence of the Gulf of Mexico during the Epi-classic period. The Plaza del Arroyo is the oldest area of the holy city, which is mainly composed of the buildings 16, 18, 19 and 20 spatially distributed according to the Mesoamerican quadrangular pattern forming a central square around them. The objective of this analysis is to provide by morphological study, greater understanding of the processes generating the Mesoamerican architectural form taking into account the basic design elements and geometric structure that synthesizes. The results are shown through analysis tables.
